Rules & objective

Move in opposite directions and bring all active checkers into your home before bearing off. White moves 24→1; dark moves 1→24. Two opposing checkers block a landing; a singleton is hit to the bar. Enter all bar checkers first: White enters at 25−die, dark at die. Each die is a separate step; intermediate landings must be open. Doubles give four steps. Use the maximum possible number of dice; if only one can be used and either is possible, use the higher. Bear off only with no checkers on the bar or outside home. An oversized die can bear off only the farthest checker. A hit during bearoff requires returning home. Each rolls one opening die; ties reroll both, and the higher starter uses those two dice. Standard: fifteen each, at your points 24× 2,13× 5,8× 3,6× 5. First to bear all off wins. Score one cube value if the loser has borne any off; otherwise two, or three with a loser on the bar or in the winner’s home. Before rolling, offer a double; the taker owns the cube and next doubling right. A drop loses only the old value. A centered cube permits either player; no double if its value already suffices for that player to win the match. First to the target wins. The first game after someone is one point away is Crawford: neither doubles; later games restore it. One-point matches have no cube. No automatic doubles, beavers or Jacoby.

Worked example

Two opposing checkers block a point; one can be hit to the bar. When you have checkers on the bar, reenter them before moving other checkers.
