Rules & objective

Selected Pagat four-player double-nine 100 profile, excluding 300/all-remaining-pips/double-six/individual-draw editions. Representatives are seats 1 and 2; equal opening-draw pip totals are returned, reshuffled and redrawn until different. Each opener is nominated by the entitled team before dealing; its lower seat represents it. Ties switch that team, redeals retain the nominated opener. Four private acceptances implement the redeal right; computers demand an eligible five-double redeal and publicly reveal only those doubles, kept in a separate record. Other old tiles stay private. Computer and hints know only their hand and public tiles/counts, not unused identities, other hands or future deals; best play is not guaranteed. Default randomness, explicit reproducible seeds. Selection/hints preview until confirmation. Rules and ledger pause the computer; undo includes responses, redo restores them exactly. Restart retains the current deal, nominated opener and pre-hand scores; new match starts zero with a fresh opening draw. Reveal four hands only at hand end; prior hands and public redeals remain in the record. No timer, wagering or physical mixing-order penalties.

The double-nine set has 55 tiles numbered 0–9. Four players partner across the table, seats 1/3 and 2/4, counterclockwise. Before the first deal, a representative from each team draws a tile; the higher pip total gives that team the opening right. Return the draw tiles and shuffle. Deal ten each, leaving fifteen face down out of play; these are never drawn. The opener may play any tile, without a required double or double nine. Each player privately reviews the deal; five or more doubles may be publicly shown to demand a full reshuffle and redeal. Play a matching tile at either end whenever possible, otherwise pass; no branches. An empty hand wins for its team. Four consecutive passes block the hand: the lowest individual pip total wins for its team, not the lowest partner sum. Opponents tied for the individual minimum draw with no points; the team that did not open nominates the next opener. A winning team scores only both opponents’ remaining pips, excluding its own, its partner’s and unused tiles. Scores accumulate without reset;100 or more wins. A win while opponents remain zero is Pollona; reaching 100 from zero in one scoring hand while opponents stay zero is Tripollúa. These names add no bonus.
